Project aspects

Concept

A vacation home on the slopes of Fruška gora. A combination of facilities forming a hedonistic whole.

Design

The primary demand in designing this project was to apply natural materials and implement the latest smart home systems into buildings designed to be rustic and traditional in order to enable the highest level of comfort for the end user. The goal was to apply natural materials such as wood, stone, and brick, thus creating an ambience which pleases all the senses. Additional content such as a swimming pool, wine cellar, open hot tub, basketball court, and a garden with especially selected plants serves to complete the experience and allow for an active vacation.

Works

Description of works carried out: Kataduzo participated in this project as the investor, designer and supervisor.
Works on this project were performed in two phases. The first phase which began in 2010 included works on the construction of a cabin made from white pine logs over 40 cm in diameter. The cabin was built by a traditional construction method, but implemented the latest systems of strong and weak current electrical installations – Smart Home.
The second phase began in 2016 and included the construction of the summer house, swimming pool, garage, and wine cellar. During construction methods of self-sustainability and energy efficiency were applied in combination with the Smart Home. Architecturally we strived for the new constructions to make a whole with the existing building, as opposed to compete with it. This project also implemented a system of solar panels which is used to heat up the pool water in the summer and the heating water in the winter.

Conclusion

This is another successfully completed project by Kataduzo which we participated in as investors, designers, and supervisors. The perfect combination of traditional construction and the latest technologies enable the end user to spend all their leisure time for resting and relaxing in the best possible way.
