A boutique hotel, the vision of a perfect vacation.
A boutique hotel, the vision of a perfect vacation.
We have designed an entirely new building to replace the existing vacation villa constructed in the 1930’s. In the design of the interior we have applied elements of the building there existing for nearly 90 years in order to evoke the memory of it in regards to its form and appearance. Here we applied the principles of energy efficiency with the aim of reducing exploitation costs. In designing the suites we sought to provide the users with an extraordinary experience attainable only in boutique hotels. Additional content such as the swimming pool and spa elevate the service to a higher level.
A feasibility study carried out for the hotel–resort owned by Kataduzo yielded the conclusion that the current capacities of the building do not satisfy the parameters of its profitability. With the aid of the data gained from the study, new forms of employing the building and putting it into operation were defined in the terms of reference. The existing building was remade into a resort, but since that concept is outdated, the most recent demand envisages the construction of an exclusive space which will consist of apartments adhering to the highest standards of service and interior and exterior design. In order for the set demands and standards to be met, a serious intervention on the existing building needed to be carried out.
The demands in designing a new building included completing the contents of the hotel with a Relax zone, adding an underground garage for the cars of hotel guests and accommodating technical rooms, as well as expanding capacity, i.e. the number of apartments.
